Video consultations and shared records for 200 remote communities.
In the communities our client serves, seeing a doctor could mean a long trip and then a longer wait, often three hours or more, and sometimes a second trip because your records were held at a different clinic. Care existed on paper and was hard to reach in person, and every facility kept its own separate history of the same patients.
The client asked us to give a patient in a remote area a way to reach a clinician without the journey. We built a platform for video consultations, with electronic prescriptions so treatment can be issued and filled locally, and a shared record that every connected facility can open. A doctor picking up a case now starts with the full history instead of a blank page. Because it handles real medical data, the platform was built to meet HIPAA from the first line of code.
Since launch it has carried more than 50,000 consultations. The typical wait has dropped from around three hours to about fifteen minutes. It now reaches over 200 remote communities and has held uptime at 99.9 percent, which for something people depend on for care is the figure that counts.
